You will not get a search result pointing to buying this product when you are looking for information on how to fix a different product that you own.

Week 5 Thing 11

Library Thing is a great resource if you want peer reviews and book discussions with other people. Everything is neatly organized and easy to use. A wide variety of books are able to be added and library thing seems to be a nice resource for that next 'great' read.

Its almost like looking in a mirror at home!!!


I found the Meez avatar generator(http://www.meez.com/) the easiest one with the most features. A wide selection of characters and customizations to suite anyones heart. A few of the fancier items require points that are earned by referring friends to the meez website.

Week 4 Thing 9

My favorite search tool was Feedster. Everything is presentable along with interesting feeds shown that do not have to be searched for. Managing what you see in another person's blog or a company's feed is also useful. The purpose of this feature is to only find reviews by consumers instead of the non-sence that companies might put out to intice consumers into purchasing items (or vice versa).

Week 4 Thing 8

RSS feeds are highly useful for keeping track of stories that have already been read as well as organizing news to see what is useful.

The library could utuilize the features of RSS feeds to provide specific age groups topics that relate to them. These topics could be things like upcoming children story readings, a guest author visiting, new books, book reviews that patrons can comment on, alerts for county emergencies, and many more spefic feeds that offer a very specific focus for those groups and a broader one to summarize what the library believes is important.
